This is a really interesting blog about making soap. I often treat myself to some expensive hand-made variety but it had never even crossed my mind that I could be making it myself.

This post also suggests making it to sell to other people. This is actually a really good idea. The amount of tools that are required are minimal and the only other thing that you would need to buy would be the necessary materials. I can easily imagine someone setting up an online shop (perhaps on EBay) and selling quite a large amount. Hand-made soap is very popular and makes a lovely gift.
